History of the Morocco
7th century...
Morocco has been inhabited for thousands of years by the Berbers and has been influenced by the Phoenicians, the Romans, and then the arrival of Islam in the 7th century.
Several dynasties have ruled the country, such as the Almoravids and the Alaouites, who still govern today.
The country was under French and Spanish protection from 1912 to 1956, before becoming independent.
